What equipment does my player need?
A) A properly sized and broken-in baseball or softball glove.
B) Bats:
a. Tee Ball/A/AA/AAA/Majors baseball: A properly sized bat with a USA Baseball Stamp
b. Juniors Baseball: USA Baseball Stamp (-5) or BBCOR bat
c. USSSA bats are prohibited

d. Softball: BPF 1.2 stamp
C) Each player must have their own batting helmet that is in good condition.
What equipment does my player need for the start of practices and games?
A) Baseball pants (managers will inform you of desired color before start of practices)
B) Softball players: black softball pants
C) Batting gloves (if desired)
D) Non-metal (rubber) cleats (for Majors Division and below)
E) Backpack or equipment bag (recommended)
F) Water bottle
G) Male catchers must wear a cup. All male players playing in competitive divisions (A ball and above) must wear a cup for their protection per Little League. They can choose between athletic supporters or sliding shorts with a cup pocket.
What equipment do players receive from SCLL?
Each player will receive a hat, jersey, socks, and belt. (Write your players name inside their hat!)
What other equipment does Little League recommend?
A) Sliding shorts (with a cup pocket for males, A Ball and above) or athletic supporter
B) Solid color base-layer shirt (compression or non-compression). If long-sleeved, must be solid-color other than white or grey (divisions above A-Ball only).
C) IF your player desires to catch in (A-Ball or above), SCLL strongly recommends they have their own catchers gear, catcher’s glove, and mask with dangling throat guard.
